CYCAT® 655 CATALYST

CYCAT® 655 CATALYST by allnex is a strong acid catalyst based on dinonylnaphthalene disulfonic acid supplied in isobutanol. It accelerates the cure between hydroxyl, carboxyl, and amide functional groups with alkylated amino crosslinking agents.

• It is suitable for use in electrocoating applications to achieve cure in the range of 110-135°C in 15-30 minutes, or to reduce the baking time at higher baking temperatures.
• It is also designed for coatings applied by other application techniques, offering improved adhesion and resistance properties compared with other sulfonic acid catalysts.
• It reduces energy requirements and offers high electrical resistivity, with no decrease in electrocoat bath stability.
• CYCAT® 655 CATALYST is used in primers, coil coating finishes, high solid systems and electrostatic spray systems.
• The recommended dosage level is 1-3% as supplied on total resin solids.
• It has a shelf life of 365 days.
