CYCAT® 600J Catalyst

CYCAT® 600J Catalyst by allnex is organic acid catalyst. It may be used as a replacement for less soluble acid catalysts, such as para-toluene sulfonic acid, in low alcohol-containing formulations. For formulation of 1K systems, it should be blocked with an appropriate amine, such as AMP (2-amino-2-methyl-1- propanol). CYCAT® 600J Catalyst is recommended to accelerate the cross-linking reaction of amino resins with polymers containing hydroxyl, carboxyl, or amide functionality. It is used in can & container coatings, automotive coating formulations and general purpose industrial coatings. It is FDA approved under section CFR 175.300. The shelf life of this product is one year.
