Alcogum® 296-W

High viscosity, anionic, aqueous solution of sodium polyacrylate. Acts as a stabilizer and thickener. Provides stable viscosity over a broad pH range. Offers resistance to biological degradation. Possesses very good suspending, emulsifying, and film-forming characteristics. Offers non-yellowing and non-oxidizing properties. Exhibits high viscosities at low concentrations and mildew resistance. Can be used for water based systems such as natural and synthetic rubber latices, and polymeric dispersions, such as polyvinyl acetate and polyacrylate emulsions. Applications include paint additives.
