Afcona -3750

Afcona -3750 by Afcona Additives is a polymeric fluorocarbon compound. Acts as a wetting, levelling and flow control agent for solvent-based coatings with excellent anti-crater properties. Has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones. Reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems and has good compatibility. Is widely used, especially in refinish topcoats as a good prevention for crater formation, caused by different environment of application sites. Afcona -3750 is used in stoving enamels based on alkyd, acrylic and polyester resins as well as polyurethane coatings. Addition and dosage: 0.1 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.1 – 0.5% based on total formulation.
