Afcona -2590

Afcona -2590 by Afcona Additives is a silicone-based defoamer emulsion for water-based system. It can prevent the formation and destroy the foams under the surface as well as reduces the chances of carters and fish eyes. It can be easily prepared for water-borne coatings. It easily moves to the surface and destroy the surface air bubbles in high viscosity systems. It is suitable for general industrial paints, wood coatings, pigment concentrates and water-based inks. Afcona -2590 is applicable for airless spray and roller to destroy small blisters. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-2.0%, under normal condition is 0.2-1.0% and when formulation with pigments is 0.3-0.8%. The shelf-life of the grade is 2 years.
