Epoxies

Epoxy resins display high level of adhesion on metal, high chemical and thermal resistance, and excellent electrical insulation ability. Therefore, epoxy formulations are preferred for many electrical parts and electronics. Epoxy resin coatings are costlier than other systems like Alkyd or Acrylic, but they also show higher performances. Epoxy coatings suffer from UV beams but it can be compensated by using a UV protecting layer or topcoat. Epoxy coatings are extensively used for corrosion protection of pipes and fittings in oil and gas industry, water pipes etc.
