Stand highlights will include the global launch of SunTex, Sun Chemical’s newly launched range of inkjet inks developed to deliver optimum performance in textile and soft signage applications. Sun Chemical will also be showcasing its Streamline range of printer compatible alternative solvent based inks.

SunJet will be demonstrating its wealth of expertise and partnership collaborations in the development of new digital inkjet technologies by presenting its extensive and diverse product range of digital ink solutions. Central to the SunJet offering at FESPA will be the presentation of Aquacure™, its next generation functional aqueous inkjet ink. This breakthrough ink chemistry, developed proactively by SunJet, delivers significant performance and production benefits and provides an all-new development platform upon which new inks can be introduced to meet the future needs of the expanding wide format graphics sector.

First global showing of new range of inkjet inks for textiles & soft signage

Sun Chemical will present the first global showing of SunTex, the new range of inkjet inks developed specifically for digital textile applications. Two ink ranges will be featured, a dye sublimation ink for transfer print applications which combines bright strong colors, dense black and a tough highly resistant ink film. Also a direct print dispersed dye ink for flag and banner applications which provides excellent ‘show-through’ for double sided output such as flag printing, where the image is viewed from either side and vibrant, strong color and dense black reproduction, which is crucial for high visual impact soft signage. Both inks should be printed onto polyester and polyester-rich textiles and materials.

Visitors to the Sun Chemical stand can see live print demonstrations using SunTex inks at the show.

Solvent-based compatible alternative ink solutions

At FESPA Digital 2016, Sun Chemical will highlight its Streamline range of solvent-based alternative inkjet inks, designed for wide and super wide format printers including Epson, Vutek, Roland, Mutoh and Mimaki. The Streamline range has been formulated to match or exceed the color and physical properties of OEM products, providing an effective alternative choice for customers. Latest additions on show at FESPA Digital 2016 will include the Streamline ESL2 low odor eco-solvent ink, which combines the highest print quality output with ultra-low odor properties, developed for Roland Pro 4 printers using Roland Ecosol Max 2 inks. These inks are particularly suited to enclosed print shop environments where low odor is essential.

Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the super wide format solvent print market, Sun Chemical will feature Streamline TBJ. Designed for the HP TurboJet, Streamline TBJ offers a host of production efficiencies, including significantly reduced energy consumption through improved drying performance, improved overall ink consumption and reduced overspray which removes the need for cleaning between print jobs.

The stand will also feature the Streamline SGX eco solvent, low odor inks series, developed to work with the high performance thin film piezo print heads for the Epson SureColor 70600 printer.

Partnerships, collaborative ink developments & innovative inkjet chemistry

SunJet will highlight the capabilities of its joint development projects with OEM partners, system integrators and printhead manufacturers through the presentation of its latest breakthrough ink chemistries and technologies for a broad range of market sectors including: graphics, décor, textile, industrial and packaging.

The SunJet team will be available throughout the show to meet with existing and prospective partners and explore collaborative projects that will continue to push the boundaries of digital inkjet.

The new concept for future inkjet development

Visitors will be able to learn more about the wide ranging benefits of Aquacure™, SunJet’s all-new approach to ink development based on a unique aqueous chemistry which combines the best of water-based and UV curing technology. Aquacure™ is a truly functional aqueous ink, offering optimum high quality output, outstanding adhesion to a wide range of media, superb flexibility, an extensive color gamut as well as low odor properties and a host of environmental benefits.
