Rohm and Haas Announces Name Change For Rapid-Drying Traffic Paint Polymers

Published on 2007-04-12. Author : SpecialChem

Philadelphia, PA, -- Rohm and Haas announced that on June 1, 2007, the name of its line of rapid-drying traffic paint polymers will change from Rhoplex Fastrack™ Emulsions to Fastrack™ emulsions. In making the announcement, Shruti Singhal, North American Marketing Manager for Traffic Marking and Industrial Finishes, explained "The time is right to drop the Rhoplex™ designation. We want to continue building on the innovative history of the Fastrack™ brand and to standardize the use of our tradename to better represent the primary feature of our current line of waterborne technology for highway markings."

Rohm and Haas introduced the industry's first quick-drying waterborne traffic paint polymer in 1990. Since that time the company has introduced a series of firsts into the highway market, including the first rapid-drying polymer for waterborne durables and the first rapid-drying waterborne polymer that extends the striping season into the cooler months.
