STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- PPG Industries' automotive refinish business has added JC6800 HS European Speed Clear, a 4.2 VOC (volatile organic compound) high solids clearcoat, to its efficient SHOP-LINE® brand product line. JC6800 HS European Speed Clear is designed for optimum performance on spot and panel automotive repairs. With a 15-minute bake time, the new clearcoat offers exceptional throughput along with the option to air-dry and buff the same day.

"We are pleased to expand the Shop-Line refinish system's capabilities with the addition of JC6800 HS European Speed Clear," said Jennifer Boros, PPG segment manager, solvent-borne brands. "Shop-Line finishes are designed to provide the ideal balance between performance and price, and this new clearcoat fits into the equation. JC6800 HS European Speed Clear delivers the quality and value expected from PPG products. It's economically priced, produces a quality finish and can easily adjust to job size and a variety of working conditions. We believe PPG customers will find this to be a valuable addition to their Shop-Line system."

Available exclusively from PPG Platinum Distributors, JC6800 HS European Speed Clear offers fast cycle times for outstanding productivity. Its short bake time makes for quick drying, allows same-day buffing and ultimately yields excellent gloss and appearance. Boros also said that the new clearcoat has a simple 2:1 mix ratio that makes it easy to use and works with two available Shop-Line brand activators, JH6810 and JH6820 High Temperature, to address job requirements.

Boros said the Shop-Line refinish system includes everything needed to perform efficient, quality and economical refinish repairs.
