Nubiola Unveils Yellow Iron Oxide Nubifer Y- 7050 for Heat-sensitive Coating Applications

Published on 2011-07-27. Author : SpecialChem

Yellow Iron Oxides for plastics or high temperature cured coatings. The chemical structure of these products means an obstacle for this kind of applications, as their color is not stable under high temperatures.

We at Nubiola have developed our own encapsulation technology to overcome this issue and are proud to announce the commercial launch of our Heat Resistant Yellow Iron Oxide, Nubifer Y-7050, produced in our facilities in Colombia.

The enhanced heat fastness i.e. 260°C (5 min) of the new Nubifer Y-7050 allows using it in many Plastics and heat-sensitive Coatings applications. This upgraded characteristic very well complements the other excellent features of Yellow Iron Oxides as their excellent light and weather fastness, high opacity and ease to disperse. "We want to highlight that Nubifer Y-7050 is a high performance pigment very suitable to provide dull yellow/beige coloration in a very cost-effective way as well as to be combined with expensive Organic pigments to reduce the cost of coloration in formula, hardly affecting their shade and maintaining the great properties they show", claims Fabiana Requeijo, our Iron Oxides Product Manager.

Nubifer Y-7050 is another clear example that our focus is the production of pigments for highly demanding applications, guaranteeing good and consistent quality and providing our best technical, sales and supply support. Our Nubiola product range includes Red, Yellow, Black and Brown Iron Oxides, Heat Resistant Yellow Iron Oxides and Zinc Ferrites.

Nubiola Colombia has been part of the Nubiola Group since 1969. The Girardota plant is one of our largest manufacturing sites. Products made there are not only distributed in Latin America but also all around the world.
