Published on 2013-12-26. Author : SpecialChem

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Michelman has introduced Michem® Wood Release 1117A is used as a release agent for pMDI based oriented strand board, linear strand board and particleboard engineered wood. It provides a low COF coating creating release of the wood fiber from the press plate, resulting in a lighter colored board with reduced buildup. Michem® Wood Release 1117A exhibits minimal nasal irritation compared to other soap based products.

Michem Wood Release 1117A resists transfer from the wood fiber to the process, virtually eliminating process slip issues while increasing productivity. It also exhibits minimal nasal irritation compared to other soap based products. It is easily dilutable with water and can be applied by spraying over the fiber mat, board caul or press plate.

Michelman has been serving the needs of the wood fiber composites industry for over a decade and offers a complete line of mold release agents, trial spray equipment and expertise required to help customers process pMDI based wood panels efficiently and cost effectively.
