Krylon® Introduces Dual™ Paint & Primer for Superior Protection of Paint

Published on 2011-06-27. Author : SpecialChem

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Krylon®, the nation's leading spray paint manufacturer, introduces Dual™ Paint and Primer, an innovative new product that does two important jobs with every spray. It primes the surface for adhesion, durability and coverage, while delivering a Krylon-quality finish...all with one can, one step. This latest Krylon offering does more than just make the task of painting easier, it also makes obtaining remarkable results that much simpler. Dual Paint and Primer increases the performance of the paint and provides superior protection.

"With the introduction of Dual, we're creating an entirely new category of spray paint - part general purpose, part high performance and part rust prevention," said Denise Patterson, Krylon product manager. "Consumers can now achieve a superior finish that lasts like it was primed, without the additional step they typically don't want to undertake."

Extremely versatile, Krylon Dual Paint and Primer can be used on a wide variety of materials. On metal, it provides superior rust protection without the extra step of priming. On wood, it gives a smooth, durable finish that used to take two products. And it offers the same outstanding performance on masonry, concrete, wicker, ceramic, glass and plaster.

"Our research shows that metal and wood are the top two surfaces on which primers are typically used - weathered metal in particular," Patterson said. "We developed Dual to provide a level of coverage and protection that's extremely durable and corrosion resistant. Consumers can easily and quickly achieve the desired finish they want without the additional step of priming before painting."

New Dual Paint and Primer is available in 24 colors in gloss, satin and flat finishes at hardware and home centers for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.99.
