Henkel's New Water-Based Resin for Vinyl Floor Coatings

Henkel Corporation has introduced QWF4744-V™, a breakthrough OH-functional water-based resin for use in two-component polyurethane water-based coatings for vinyl floors.

Designed for use in both interior and exterior coatings, Henkel QWF4744-V™ cures under a range of temperature and humidity conditions and offers superior resistance to weathering, abrasion and a variety of chemicals. The waterborne vinyl coatings formulated with QWF4744-V™ have the appearance and durability of solvent-borne coatings and can be rapidly applied with virtually no odor.

Henkel QWF4744-V™ delivers a pot life of 8 to 10 hours, with ambient temperature recoat possible in less than 60 minutes. The VOC content of this resin is less than 78 grams per liter, meeting current and future VOC requirements for most coating categories.
