Electrolube Launches DCA-HT, a High Temperature & Modified Silicone Conformal Coating

Published on 2010-12-03. Author : SpecialChem

Electrolube one of the leading electro-chemical manufacturers has launched DCA-HT, to meet international approvals including European and American defense standards. The cured coating meets DEF-STAN 59/47 and IPC-CC-830 standards and is RoHS Compliant (2002/95/EC).

DCA-HT is a unique flexible and transparent product, highly resistant to mould growth and UV light and can be sprayed, dipped or brushed specifically designed for the protection of electronic circuitry.

DCA-HT conformal coating has been designed to meet even the most demanding requirements with an extreme operating temperature range of -70°C to +200°C and a high resistance to most solvents, lubricants and chemicals associated with aerospace and automotive applications. It has excellent an adhesion property under all climatic conditions including high altitude, decompression, moisture and salt spray, making it suitable for a vast array of applications.

DCA-HT is the second product to be developed by Electrolube's experts this year after DCA-FD. DCA-FD has reduced VOC levels compared to standard DCA. It has excellent adhesion and is resistant to most solvents, lubricants and chemicals. It is also highly resistant to mould growth and UV light. The product can be sprayed, dipped or brushed, is RoHS Compliant (2002/95/EC) and meets UL746CQMJU2, DEF-STAN 59/47 (4), and IPC-CC-830 standards. . Fast-Dry DCA has a very wide operating temperature range and is suitable for a wide range of commercial and military PCB applications, particularly in harsh, high humidity and salt-spray conditions.
