Waalwijk, NL -- The DECOVERY™ product range from DSM NeoResins+ is a new generation of high performance, environmentally sustainable resins for the decorative paint market. The family offers a broad product portfolio that goes beyond the environmental and technical requirements of solvent emission legislation in Europe and North America. Meeting recent and upcoming worldwide environmental regulations, the DECOVERY™ family offers the high quality needed by professional painters. It has been developed as part of DSM's drive to produce sustainable product lines.

The DECOVERY™ family consists of waterborne and high solid solvent based resins. It offers solutions for coatings in topcoats, primers and stains. Based on DSM NeoResins+ unique position of having all the important resin technologies in house, the DECOVERY™ products have been developed for top performance decorative paints. Examples include high solid solvent based resins, founded on the innovative and patented new Hybrane™ technology, providing similar drying characteristics as traditional solvent based paints.

DECOVERY™ is the result of the continuous focus on product innovation within DSM NeoResins+ and is one of the top 50 innovation projects within DSM as a whole. Ben van Kooten, Business Group Director of DSM Resins comments: "DECOVERY™ represents a further step towards DSM's ambition of generating EUR 1 billion in innovation-based sales by 2010 within the framework of its Vision 2010 strategy."

The DECOVERY™ family will continue to grow with new innovative products that go beyond current technological performance constraints. According to Dimitri de Vreeze, Director of DSM NeoResins+, "DECOVERY™ is of strategic importance to DSM NeoResins+, and will increase our leadership in specialty coating resins.
