"While Dow Corning 108F Additive can deliver excellent results in many waterborne paint and ink systems, it is designed especially for use in premium gloss applications – such as wood coatings, industrial coatings and inks – where its low tendency to cause craters or other surface defects is especially valuable," said Dow Corning Coatings Global Segment Leader Chris Wall.

The product, which has limited noticeable impact on surface appearances is effective at very low use levels, and its emulsion format makes it easy to dose and use. Additionally, Dow Corning 108F Additive is APEO-free, low-VOC and suitable for indirect-food-contact applications.

Dow Corning –one of the global leaders in silicon-based solutions for paints, inks and coatings – provides a broad range of additives for waterborne, solventborne, solventless and radiation cure systems. Offering multiple benefits, these additives are compatible with a wide array of binder systems and diluents, and they are effective at low concentrations.
