Cray Valley's Coatings launch CRAYMUL® 271 as a new UV curable acrylic dispersion

Published on 2006-10-04. Author : SpecialChem

Cray Valley's Coatings Europe Department is strengthening its position on Industrial Wood Coatings market with the launch of CRAYMUL® 2717, a new UV curable acrylic dispersion for high coffee resistance requirements in pigmented finishes.

This UV curable technology is based on a dual cure system :

  • First, a self-crosslinking step gives hard tack-free films,
  • In a second step, the curing under UV radiation reinforce the film hardness and leads to coatings with excellent chemical resistance.

Due to their acrylic nature, CRAY VALLEY 's UV curable dispersions have outstanding properties : quick water release, excellent wood grain definition in spray applied open-pore finishes and good adhesion on difficult substrates.

CRAYMUL® 2717 is a high reactive resin especially designed to be formulated with low amount of photoinitiators in order to obtain non-yellowing clear and pigmented finishes. CRAYMUL® 2717 also allows easy formulation of matt finishes with low quantity of flatting agents. With CRAYMUL® 2717, Cray Valley confirms its ongoing commitment to develop innovative and environmental friendly solutions for its Industrial Wood Coatings customers.
