Cornelius Showcases Goniospectrophotometer and Announces Technical Support Faility Epansion at this years European Coatings Show

Published on 2005-04-01. Author : SpecialChem

Cornelius Group PLC, a full service organisation and established distributors of speciality chemicals, is delighted to announce its attendance at this years European Coatings Show.

This year's European Coatings Show, held in Nürnberg, Germany 26-28 April 2005, will see the first appearance from UK based Cornelius, a broad-based, full service organisation providing technical materials and chemicals to industry. On display at Cornelius' stand, hall 3 stand 245, will be a unique state of the art goniospectrophotometer. A cutting edge instrument that measures colour at multiple angles, goniospectrophotometers are capable of quantifying colour in pigments and coatings and can accurately measure special effect colours such as pearlescent pigments, and have the potential for predictive colour matching for these materials.

The Cornelius group has an established reputation as a leading supplier of raw materials to specialist industries and will also be using the event to promote the future expansion to its laboratory facilities. Already available to the cosmetic and personal care markets, Cornelius is currently expanding its technical support facility to include the industrial markets. The expansion to the laboratories will enhance technical relationships with all of Cornelius' principals and customers. Technically qualified representatives from Cornelius will be available on the stand to discuss these exciting opportunities with customers and principals.

Alongside its own technical formulation facilities, Cornelius also represent a number of well established suppliers to the paint and coatings industry, such as Engelhard, Elementis Specialities and Kerr-McGee Pigments in the UK and Matsui and Borregaard in wider markets. Cornelius have also recently been awarded exclusive UK and Ireland distributors of fluorescent pigments from the Radiant® Color range, who, together with its US-based sister company DayGlo® Color, are the global leaders in fluorescent pigments and dispersions.

Steve Tuffley, Divisional Director for Cornelius comments, "We're positive about the new exciting opportunities that may arise from the European Coatings Show. We feel confident we are able to fulfil distribution needs and help generate new business opportunities for organisations through our broad industry coverage."
