Axalta launches Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV901™ and Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV902™, the value-oriented coating products. These additions broaden Axalta's commercial transportation offering to include easy-to-apply and one-step DTM (direct-to-metal) topcoats.
New Topcoats - Outstanding Adhesion and Flexibility
The new topcoats deliver outstanding adhesion and flexibility in non-corrosive to mildly corrosive environments. Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV901™ and Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV902™ have been formulated to distribute a high-gloss, durable finish with excellent gloss retention.
The DTM topcoats can be applied over properly prepared steel, weathered galvanized and aluminum surfaces. Also, it is considered to be an ideal choice for chassis and trailers, or any application that requires high-build DTM polyurethane. Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV901™ and Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV902™ topcoats save customers’ time and money by allowing them to eliminate the primer process in many applications.
In addition, these products use the same activators that customers already have on hand, so there is no need for additional inventory. The use of common activators plus the topcoat's one-step application process help reduce overall job costs. Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV901™ and Rival™ DTM Topcoat RV901™ are available at all authorized Commercial Transportation Distributors and come in black and white factory packaged colors respectively.
