Arkema Launches Next Generation Neutralization Amine for Coatings Industry

Published on 2005-09-12. Author : SpecialChem

After several years of intensive research and development, Arkema has launched Advantex™ neutralization amine, the next generation amine for the coatings industry. Advantex™ amine additive improves the properties of paints and TiO2 slurries, including exceptional pigment dispersion, excellent water sensitivity, low VOC formulation capability, very low odor and many other benefits.

"We are confident that Advantex amine additive will rapidly become the number one choice in neutralization technology for the coatings industry," said Conor Dowling, market manager for Arkema’s specialty amines business. "Advantex amine additive offers a marked improvement in the properties of paints and slurries that will enable formulators to improve paint performance in ways they never could before."

"The response from the market has been overwhelming," said Bob Ash, accounts manager for Arkema's North American amines business. "We have had several paint formulators make the switch to Advantex amine additive within weeks of receiving samples," added Ash. "This is unprecedented in this industry and is testament to the outstanding performance of Advantex amine additive."

Advantex™ amine additive is manufactured at Arkema's amines plant in Riverview, Michigan.
