Air Products Introduces Two New Epoxy Curing Agents

Published on 2008-01-22. Author : SpecialChem

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. -- Air Products has introduced Anquamine® 721 and 731 epoxy curing agents, two new waterborne epoxy curing agents for the flooring and concrete coatings markets. The two new products offer excellent performance and provide environmental benefits in a very cost effective way to protect concrete.

Anquamine 721 and Anquamine 731 epoxy curing agents give users the ability to use less binder, more filler and water as a diluent, which translates to cost savings to formulators. The curing agents feature excellent adhesion to concrete, rapid hardness development and good handling and concrete protection properties. They also offer low color and carbamation resistance for a high aesthetics finish. Since they are waterborne, Anquamine 721 and 731 emit zero VOCs, and exhibit very low odor.

Anquamine 721 curing agent is ideal for thin film applications such as concrete primers and paints. Anquamine 731 curing agent is ideal for high-film build applications such as self leveling floors, mortars, and grouts.

"Anquamine 721 and 731 epoxy curing agents offer coatings manufacturers high performance, economic savings and zero VOCs," said Zay Risinger, epoxy additives Global Business Manager. "Air Products' 40 years experience and global reach give our customers the competitive advantage they are looking for in epoxy curing agents."
