X-Rite Showcases Latest Line of Print and Pre-press color Management Solutions at Graphics of The Americas

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- X-Rite, Incorporated, the world leader in color management, measurement and communication technologies, announced that it will showcase its latest line of print and pre-press color management solutions at Graphics of The Americas -- February 26-28, 2009, Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, FL. X-Rite's solutions will be demonstrated in Printex Corporation's booth (# 616) as well as in Grafitek International's booth (# 433). Throughout the duration of the show, all purchases of new X-Rite solutions initiated at the show will be entitled to a 10 percent discount.

At Graphics of the Americas, X-Rite will be displaying and demonstrating a number of design, prepress and print workflow solutions including:

Intellitrax 1.5: the printing industry's fastest automated color management scanning solution for press-side color control. The latest version supports the G7TM proof-to-print process control, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) defined targets, the next generation of CxF (Color Exchange Format), the universal file format for color communication, and the new PANTONE® Goe™ digital libraries, featuring 2,058 new colors.

i1 solutions: Featuring the new i1Basic and i1XTreme packages, the i1 solutions portfolio offers fully-featured color management systems at highly attractive price points. X-Rite's i1 tools are used to create and edit color profiles for any color device found in typical digital workflows, including scanners, monitors, digital cameras, digital projectors or printers.

500 series spectrodensitometers is a full line of rugged and highly spectrally accurate instruments for prepress and printing pressroom applications. Each 500 series instrument can easily be upgraded to a model with more features, all the way up to the 530 model which features densitometric, colorimetric and spectral readings. All new 500 Series instruments come with a three year warranty and are available with a variety of aperture size options. Fully-featured models include the PANTONE® FORMULA GUIDE digital libraries, support for G7™, and can directly interface with X-RiteColor Master, InkFormulation and ColorQuality software packages.

iCPlate2 and PlateScope: X-Rite's plate control solutions offer the industry's highest level of accuracy, repeatability, and imaging range, including extreme highlights and shadows. Featuring new firmware and software that support the latest screening and plate technologies and the FOGRA measuring bar standard, this latest version of plate readers offers unsurpassed accuracy and repeatability for the latest plate screening technologies. X-Rite's plate control solutions support all current screening technologies including AM, FM, XM and hybrid screen types. iCPlate2 and PlateScope are ideal for customers who are disciplined about process control, printing to standards such as SWOP™, Gracol (G7™), FOGRA or ISO, or who are coordinating output between multiple CTP devices.

Graphic of The Americas visitors will also be able to attend a speaker session led by one of X-Rite's pre-eminent color experts for the Latin American markets: Helmut Schubart. The session, entitled "The Role of Measurement Tools in Achieving G7™ Process Control, will take place on February 26th from 5:00 to 5:45 pm in the Expo Theater, right on the show floor.
