X-Rite Introduces X-RiteColor® Master 7.0 Formulation and QA Software

Grandville, MI -- X-Rite (NASDAQ:XRIT) introduced X-RiteColor® Master 7.0, a new edition of its proven industrial color quality assurance and formulation software. Primarily used by leading companies in ink, paint, plastics, printing, packaging, coatings, and textile markets, X-RiteColor Master 7.0 has added new, advanced features, including QA Metallix, developed to enhance the functionality of the software for special effects coatings.

"X-RiteColor Master 7.0 was refined to incorporate customer input, including new features like QA Metallix." said Shannon Gary, Director of X Rite's Industrial Color and Appearance Business Category. "We believe this new application will compliment our line of highly accurate color measurement instruments, providing our global customers an end-to-end color solution."

New features of X-RiteColor Master 7.0:

  • Graphical Job Feature: Enhanced job function enabling measurement points to be set up on a bitmap for visual comparisons
  • Default Tolerance: Set default tolerances for each customer
  • Custom Tolerances: Customize tolerances with a new formula that utilizes CIE94 calculation technology
  • Color Stability Test: Ensure instrument performance for a set of specified control standards

Color Data Communication

X-RiteColor Master 7.0 has two options for communicating color data:

  • Stand Alone: Single or multiple applications installed on standalone workstations
  • Web Edition: Access color data from virtually any PC via the Internet, enabling multiple users to access a single database. X-Rite was the first in the industry to offer this level of color data communication.
