About Ter Hell

The origins of TER HELL & CO. GMBH date back to 1908, when Hermann Ter Hell established the Hamburg-based enterprise as a specialty supplier of high quality waxes. Ever since Walter Westphal took over in 1938, subsequent generations of the Westphal family have gradually expanded the business to its current relevance. Today, TER HELL is among the leading European distributors and traders of chemical raw materials, accounting for about one third of the group turnover, and at the same time the holding company of the TER GROUP. The headquarter of TER HELL has just moved to a new, company-owned office building in 2007, located in the heart of the Hanseatic city.
