Surface Specialties UCB Increase Price of Radiation Curable Monomers and Resins in Asia Pacific

Surface Specialties UCB has announced that it will increase prices of all its radiation curable products in Asia Pacific, effective January 1st, 2005 or as contracts permit.

The price increase:

  • for monomers will be between 10 and 15% depending on grades
  • for epoxy acrylates will be between 7 and 10 % depending on grades.
  • for all other radiation curable products will be between 4 and 6% depending on grades.

The company says it has limited and postponed the new price increases as much as possible but that these adjustments have been made necessary by continuous rapid and dramatic changes in the cost and availability of almost all raw materials used in radiation curable resins, such as acrylic acid, epoxy resins and polyols.

The company says that they are putting every effort into securing sufficient supplies to meet growing demand for their radiation curable products.
