Jotun Shanghai started this adventure with supplying the paints to the first SSP 300 ever, SSP Piranema at Yantai Raffles Shipyard.

This unit is now in Holland for final outfitting before being taken to Brazil.

Sevan Marine followed up their programme with another two units ordered at Yantai Raffles Shipyard, one named SSP Hummingbird, to be placed at the Chestnut field offshore UK, and the third one still unnamed. Jotun Shanghai signed contracts for the supply of paints to these two as well.

But Sevan Marine has more in store, and ordered a fourth SSP 300 at Hantong Shipyard. To top up our quota so far with Sevan Marine, Jotun Shanghai signed a contract with Hantong Shipyard to supply coatings to SSP 300 number 4 on September 30.

Jotacote Universal is the dominating product in the coating systems. The external hull, ballast tanks, crude oil storage tanks, slop- and diesel tanks are all coated with Jotacote Universal.

The vertical parts of the submerged areas are additionally protected with antifouling SeaQuantum Ultra.

External decks with normal wear and tear are specified with Primastic Universal, whereas the walkways, escape routes, laydown areas and the helideck are coated with Jota Armour AS, epoxy high build deck coating.
