SPCI Named Distributor of Eastman Coalescents and Solvents in France

Capelle aan den IJssel, The Netherlands -- SPCI, the largest distributor of specialty chemicals in France, has signed an agreement with Eastman Chemical Company to distribute its line of coalescents and solvents to the French coatings and inks marketplace. SPCI will provide both technical and logistics support on Eastman's behalf. With extensive warehousing facilities in France's main industrial areas, the new distribution channel will benefit French paint, coating and ink manufacturers by providing greater access to Eastman's top-performing products.

"SPCI will be invaluable in helping us continue to extend our products and services into the coatings and inks marketplace in France," said Joost Berting, general manager, coatings for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Eastman. "We look forward to bringing SPCI's quality service, lab facilities and logistics channel in support of our customers in the region."

SPCI will be the authorised distributor of the Eastman Coatings Film Technologies portfolio of coalescents for architectural coatings, which includes the flagship coalescent Texanol ester alcohol and the low-odour Optifilm Enhancer 300. Both are considered VOC-free according to European Union Directive 2004/42/EC for Decorative and Refinishing Paints. SPCI will also distribute and support the following Eastman specialty solvents for the coatings and inks industry: Eastman EEP, Eastman EP, Eastman EEH, Eastman MIAK, Eastman MAK, Eastman MPK and Eastman IBIB.
