Siegwerk Intensifies Sales Activities in the Print Sector

Published on 2005-04-14. Author : SpecialChem

The Siegwerk Group's business unit print media will continue to intensify its activities in the publication gravure ink and web offset ink sectors with a new sales management. Hans-Joachim Lauterbach (48) took on the sales management of publication gravure at the beginning of the year. His predecessor Norbert Haase had gone into business for himself with his own commercial agency. Michael Müller-Samson (42) manages web offset ink sales independently.

"With Hans-Joachim Lauterbach we engaged an outstanding expert on the European publication gravure printing business", says Dr. Ansgar Nonn, President business unit Print-Media and member of the board of management. "He is well-acquainted with the industry and knows many market players personally from his previous occupational activity". As the managing director of SCA Graphic Paper (Germany) GmbH, Lauterbach was previously responsible for the publication paper division.

"Siegwerk has an excellent reputation as the technology leader and the top printing ink company in the European publication gravure printing business", says Lauterbach. "However, the difficult market conditions require further expansion of services, constancy of quality and delivery accuracy. I am sure that we can offer our existing customers and also new prospects and customers in Europe optimum services on that score as well".

The Siegwerk Group is also excellently positioned in web offset ink. In the past year, the responsible members of sales manager Michael Müller-Samson's team succeeded in increasing the market shares in various European countries considerably. "In web offset ink Siegwerk traditionally used to have a rather Central European alignment", says Müller-Samson. "Thanks to consistent internationalization in the heatset and coldset sector, we are now an interesting partner for web offset converters all over Europe ."

As a privately owned company, the Siegwerk Group traditionally offers its customers a high degree of flexibility, customer orientation and reliability. "Due to our slim structures and excellent personal relationships, which we also build up with new customers very quickly, we are better able to cater to individual needs than a comparably impersonal large corporate group", says Nonn.
