SCI Engineered Materials Announces ISO 9001:2000 Registration

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Superconductive Components, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SCCI - News), a manufacturer of ceramics and metals for advanced applications in batteries, optical, and high temperature superconductive and non-superconductive products, announced that SCI Engineered Materials ("SCI"), an operating unit of the Company, has achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration for the production and sale of complex physical vapor deposition ("PVD") materials and targets. This registration reflects SCI's achievement of specific quality standards that are recognized worldwide.

Dan Rooney, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "Consistent with our growth strategy and commitment to quality operations, efforts were initiated during the fourth quarter of 2004 to attain ISO 9001:2000 registration. We anticipate this registration will contribute to expanded business opportunities that could not previously be pursued. Many of our customers recognize the importance of ISO approved practices and a growing number of them are requiring this registration from their suppliers."
