Sakata Inx Corp. To Set Up Joint Venture In China To Produce Printing Inks

Sakata Inx Corp, manufacturer of copy machine toner and printing inks for newspapers, announced that it is planning to set up a joint venture in China to produce printing inks.

The Corporation plans to invest around 280 mln yen for the project.

It is reported that the joint venture which will be called Maoming Sakata Inx Co Ltd will be established in Guangdong province. According to the sources, Sakata Inx will have a 44 pct stake in the joint venture, its local partner will have 51 pct, while an individual investor will take the remaining interest.

Annually, the output of this joint venture is expected to be some 1, 800 tons. The firm remarked that the establishment of this production base, along with the two already existing will help boost its presence in China.
