Rohm and Haas Architectural and Functional Coatings Europe Announces Price Increase

Published on 2004-12-17. Author : SpecialChem

Frankfurt, Germany -- Rohm and Haas Architectural and Functional Coatings Europe (NYSE: ROH) will implement price increases for all products sold to the architectural coatings, industrial coatings, construction and building products, graphic arts, paper, leather and textile, and non-wovens industries effective February 1, 2005 or as contracts allow.

The 5-7% increase for the Primal, Acrysol, Orotan, and Ropaque products is required to offset the continuing high prices of crude oil and all major petrochemical feedstock costs, especially styrene, propylene, and butanol which have reached record levels. Shortages and spot outages of feedstocks are aggravating the economic picture.

Customers will be notified directly about the impact of these price changes according to the specific products they purchase.
