Rohm and Haas Announces Price Increase for Architectural and Functional Coatings in North America

Published on 2004-12-06. Author : SpecialChem

Philadelphia, PA -- Rohm and Haas Company will implement list and off-list price increases for all vinyl acetate based emulsions sold to the architectural coatings, industrial coatings, construction and building products, traffic markings, graphic arts, and textile and non-wovens industries in North America.

The Rovace®, Res®, and Polyco® emulsions will be increased by $0.05 per wet pound, effective January 3rd, 2005 or as contracts allow.

The increase is required to offset the continuing escalation in crude oil and all major petrochemical feedstock costs, especially vinyl acetate monomer, propylene, and butanol which have reached record levels. Shortages and spot outages of feedstocks are aggravating the economic picture.

Rovace, Res, and Polyco are trademarks of Rohm and Haas Company.
