Resolution Performance Products LLC Announces Price Increases for BPA, Liquid and Solid Epoxy Resins Effective December 1, 2004 in the Americas

Published on 2004-11-17. Author : SpecialChem

HOUSTON -- Effective December 1, 2004, or as contracts allow, Resolution Performance Products LLC will increase all prices including list prices in the Americas region for its Bisphenol A (BPA) and liquid and solid epoxy resins by ten cents per pound. Temporary voluntary allowances (TVAs) from list price will also be reduced by the same amount. These increases are in addition to previous increases effective September 1 for BPA and November 1 for liquid and solid epoxy resins. According to David Coughlen, Business Manager, Americas Major Resins, for Resolution, "Persistently high feedstock costs have compressed margins and the global epoxy market continues to be strong while supply of epoxy resins and particularly of the key precursor bisphenol A remains tight. We expect these market conditions to continue into 2005."

Resolution Performance Products is the leading worldwide manufacturer and developer of epoxy resins and is also the leading global manufacturer of Versatic acids and derivatives. Epoxy resins are chemicals primarily used in the manufacture of coatings, adhesives, printed circuit boards, fiber reinforced plastics and construction materials. The Company, with approximately 900 employees, has operations in the United States, Europe and Asia.
