MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- Raymor Industries Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RAR - News), a leading developer and producer of single-walled carbon nanotubes, nanomaterials and advanced materials, announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, AP&C Advanced Powders and Coatings has received an order for its spherical titanium powders from Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne. With this order, Raymor continues its breakthrough into the aerospace market with its high quality spherical titanium powders.

Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX - News), provides world class space propulsion systems and services. The company offers a complete line of propulsion products, from boosters to upper stage engines, used in a wide variety of government and commercial applications, including the Space Shuttle Main Engines, as well as the propulsion systems for the Atlas and Delta expendable launch vehicles. Additionally, the company offers power solutions for various space applications. Future technologies will provide products for in-space propulsion and hypersonic vehicles. Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne is headquartered in Canoga Park, California, and operate two main sites in California and West Palm Beach, Florida, with additional operations at NASA's Kennedy, Marshall and Stennis space centers.

"Raymor is now present in the space market in two of its operation divisions: Metallic Powders and Net-Shape Forming and this order from Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne confirms the need for our unique products," said Stephane Robert, President of Raymor Industries. "For competitive reasons, our clients require non-disclosure agreements, which does not permit Raymor to divulge contract details, however, we are confident that the aerospace market will be very profitable for Raymor," adds Mr. Robert.

AP&C's metallic powders are produced using the patented Plasma Atomization Process. This globally unique process produces a highly pure metallic powder with an exceptional sphericity. These two properties allow AP&C's metallic powders to offer the best performance for aerospace, aeronautical, and biomedical applications. The patented Plasma Atomization Process, of which AP&C holds an exclusive, worldwide license, was developed at the beginning of the 90's at Hydro-Quebec's Shawinigan laboratory in collaboration with Noranda.

From the report "2005 State of the Space Industry", the authors, The International Space Business Council, state that "now is a good time to be involved in the space and satellite industry." World turnover, generated from commercial services and government programs, reached US$103 billion in 2004, and is forecast to exceed US$158 billion in 2010. More than US$18 billion is spent annually on the development of space systems. The US Defense spending on space has grown from around US$15 billion in 2000 to more than US$22 billion today, and is forecast to reach $28 billion by 2010.
