Price increase of Acetone based oxygenated solvents

Published on 2010-04-13. Author : SpecialChem

From April 2010 and with immediate effect, Arkema increases its solvents price by 150 €/ton in Europe, as far as the contracts allow it.

Involved products are:

  • Methyl Isobutyl Ketone (MIBK),
  • Diacetone Alcohol (DAA),
  • Hexylene Glycol (HG),
  • Isophorone (IPHO)

This adjustment is necessary in order to pass on the strong increase of the raw material price, especially the acetone one.

Arkema markets a wide range of oxygenated solvents to meet the needs of the paint, coatings, pharmaceuticals, lubricants, detergents, and cosmetics industries.
