Price Increase for Inorganic Pigments

Published on 2004-10-20. Author : SpecialChem

Leverkusen -- Effective November 1, 2004, LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is increasing its prices for inorganic pigments by between EUR 40 and EUR 80 per metric ton. The products affected are Bayferrox®, Colortherm®, Bayoxide® and chrome oxide. According to Wolfgang Schmitz, Head of the Inorganic Pigments Business Unit, the reason for these measures is the stark rise in raw material, energy and transport costs.

Bayferrox® and chrome oxide pigments are used to color a wide variety of products such as concrete, roofing tiles, surface coatings, plastics and paper and as specialty pigments for toners and other applications. The products are distinguished by their high quality and simple and environmentally compatible processing.

As a global manufacturer of inorganic pigments LANXESS offers a broad range of products and a high level of consultancy expertise.
