The display vehicle highlights several products developed by PPG specifically for military vehicles:

  • The Crew Egress System (CES), an emergency exit system integrated into the windshield of the vehicle that provides an alternative path to safety via a transparent armor opening should the doors or hatches become inoperable;
  • MIL-TOUGH™ polyurea coatings, which offer outstanding substrate protection and abrasion, impact, scratch-and-mar and chip resistance in all formulations, with versions designed and tested to provide improved fire, spall or blast resistance as well; and
  • A low-volatile organic compound (VOC) polymeric flattened water-dispersible chemical agent-resistant coating (CARC) topcoat.

In addition to the products on the vehicle, and a wide range of CARCs for military vehicles and equipment through its partnership with NCP Coatings, PPG offers technologies for military vehicles such as ACCUFOAM™ structural foam, AUDIOGUARD® acoustic coatings, PITT-CHAR® XP fire-resistant coatings and DURAPREP™ water-based paint strippers.
