PolyOne Strengthens Management, Marketing and Sales Teams to Better Serve Customers and Drive Growth

CLEVELAND -- In support of PolyOne Corporation's (NYSE: POL) vision of becoming the world's premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, the company continues its investment in key resources and staffing.

Randy Fortin has joined PolyOne as vice president of marketing and will work across PolyOne's business units to foster profitable growth in target markets. Fortin formerly worked at Cytec Industries, where he was vice president of mining chemicals, and led the sales, marketing and research functions. Fortin will report to Michael Kahler, senior vice president, commercial development. Kahler joined the company in May of this year and is responsible for developing and integrating sales, marketing and technology strategies across the entire Company.

In addition, PolyOne has hired Craig Nikrant as vice president and general manager of the Company's North American Engineered Materials business unit. Nikrant worked at GE Plastics for the previous 17 years and progressively advanced his career as marketing manager, business manager and general manager. Nikrant was most recently general manager for GE Specialty Film & Sheet for the Americas and led the transformation of this business.

John Van Hulle has joined PolyOne as vice president and general manager of the North American Color & Additives Masterbatches business unit. Van Hulle was previously president and chief executive officer of ChemDesign Corporation, where he returned the company to profitability and significantly expanded sales.

"These recent hires are indicative of a fundamental shift at PolyOne," said Kahler. "Since the beginning of 2006, we have created and filled numerous key commercial positions. These additional resources will enhance our ability to define and deliver quantifiable value-added solutions that our customers demand and deserve. By bolstering our management, marketing and sales teams, we are focusing this company squarely on customers."

Fortin will work with PolyOne's business unit general managers including Nikrant and Van Hulle to develop new products, technologies, and applications that, in concert with the innovative use of services, will deliver solutions that help PolyOne customers grow and prosper.
