Penn Color completes a 12M USD expansion of its facilities in Venray, the Netherlands. The expansion supports the production of high-end specialty coating. Also added are new production capabilities for highly concentrated PVC and engineering plastics color and additive masterbatches.

Various Products Under Manufacture in New Facility

The facility currently produces thermoplastic masterbatches for packaging, water-based inks, and coatings for wallcovering and flooring. The site will now produce masterbatches for use in PVC profiles and siding, calendared PVC films, and various high-value engineering polymer applications.

Emphasis on sustainability was a large part of the design process. Energy-efficient additions include solar panels, heat recovery from production processes, and heat pumps instead of traditional heating and cooling.

New Customer Innovation Center

Upgrades include a new Customer Innovation Center for client collaboration sessions. This showcases Penn Color’s new rapid digital color matching and prototyping system. The expansion also includes state-of-the-art laboratory space, warehouse storage, and office upgrades.

With the expansion at our Venray facility, we are investing in our client’s future, ahead of their needs,” says Kevin Putman, Jr., Penn Color’s President.

The new Venray site provides enhanced levels of service, support, and access to world-class capabilities. We pride ourselves on our responsiveness to our clients. What makes us different is our agility and ability to offer our clients unique solutions and unrivalled levels of custom design. This is what makes Penn Color a valued partner.”
