BASF Receives Multiple Awards for its Painted Cars at 2016 SEMA Show

SOUTHFIELD, MI -- Vehicles painted with BASF’s Glasurit® and R-M® lines received multiple awards and industry recognition at the 2016 SEMA show hosted from November 1 - 4 by the Specialty Equipment Market Association in Las Vegas.

Ringbrothers’ 1969 Chevy Camaro, winner of the
Chevrolet Design Award and a Top Ten Finalist
of Battle of the Builders.

BASF Painted Vehicles Received the Following Recognition:

Chevrolet Design Award — given to the Ringbrothers 1969 Chevy Camaro painted in Glasurit 90 Line “Blue Print,” for unique and innovative design.

Ford Motor Company Design Award — awarded to Full-Race Motorsports Ford Focus RS, painted in R-M Diamont “Individual Fire Orange” and “Stealth Gray,” for making a significant contribution to vehicle design in a unique way compared to the competition.

Battle of the Builders® Finalists — “Double Bubble,” a 1961 Chevy Impala by Greening Auto Company and coated in Glasurit 90 Line was named runner up in Battle of the Builders. The 1969 Chevy Camaro and the 1948 Cadillac, “Copper Caddy,” both coated in Glasurit 90 Line, by the Ringbrothers were also included in the Top 10 Finalists for this award showcasing the best overall builds at the show.

Mothers® Shine Award Finalists — Troy Trepanier’s 1960 Cadillac “Copper Caddy” painted in Glasurit 90 Line. This award recognizes the best-of-the-best of the cars shown at SEMA.
