NuSil at SSPC Greencoat 2014: to Exhibit Protective Silicon Coatings for a Variety of Systems

Published on 2014-02-06. Author : SpecialChem

Mark Vedder of NuSil's Aerospace & Defense business unit will present "Protective Silicone Coatings" at SSPC Greencoat. "Protective Silicone Coatings" will expound on the range of silicone's ability to guard a variety of systems from the potential hazards of their environments. Inherently silicone possesses a large coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), low modulus, and a low glass transition temperature. These attributes allow it to maintain elastomeric properties for continuously dependable operation when exposed to harsh conditions like extreme heat, cold, or UV radiation. Mark's presentation will be held on Tuesday, February 11 at 9:00 am as part of Session 2, "Coating Technology for the Aerospace Industry".

The SSPC Greencoat conference and exhibition runs Monday, February 10 through Thursday, February 13 at Lake Buena Vista, Florida's Coronado Springs Resort. This year's SSPC Greencoat is sponsored by eco-friendly coating company Greencoat through the Society for Protective Coatings.
