The Nova Paint Club met in Sydney, Australia, on the 4th-8th May at an event hosted by Barloworld Coatings Australia that brought together the full board and technical directors of the international coatings group.

The meeting saw the election of Dr. Boyd Cooray as chairman of the Technical Coordinating Committee and Drew Vogel to the Nova Executive Committee. Delegates at the event discussed a wide range of issues, attended presentations from suppliers and agreed a programme of joint research projects.

Peter Lovell, secretary general of the Nova Paint Club said: "This very successful first meeting of the Nova Paint Club in Australia underlines the global force that the Club has become over the past 21 years."

The Nova Paint Club is an international organisation founded in 1983 for the purpose of providing a framework within which leading, global independent paint companies can benefit from exchanges of technical information, technology, and the sharing of expertise in all areas of their fields of operation.

The next meeting of the Nova Paint Club will be held in Delhi in October 2004 and will involve the combined board and marketing directors from each of the Club's 14 member companies.
