Nordmann, Rassmann Distributes Alkoxylated Polyols from Perstorp for Use in Inks and Coatings

Published on 2015-05-05. Author : SpecialChem

HAMBURG -- Nordmann, Rassmann’s portfolio features a number of liquid polyols for various applications from long-standing supplier Perstorp AB.

These can be used as diluents in the radiation curing of printing inks and industrial coatings, as well as cross-linkers in PU foams and elastomers, in order to optimize the performance of end products. They are suited to vibration dampening and shock absorption on mechanical devices in addition to low elastomer hardness applications such as printing wheels, synthetic leather, etc.

Alkoxylated polyols are liquid crosslinkers. Using them allows for optimal adjustment of elastomer characteristics such as hardness/flexibility and resilience, as well as the required quantity. These properties can be fine-tuned using different kinds of alkoxylated polyols with varying degrees of alkoxylation.

Polyol 3990 - Liquid TMP for Ease Of Handling

Polyol 3990 is a liquid raw material of primary alcohols and with a low level of alkoxylation. It does not require heating and improves the hardness and flexibility of elastomers. With this product from Perstorp, the handling of TMP is made easy for customers.

Polyol 3610 and Polyol 4800 - Tailored Toughness

Polyol 3610 and Polyol 4800 are specifically intended for elastomers used to control the cross-link density and maintain the resilience and toughness of polyurethanes. Polyol 3610 is also perfect for increasing hardness in flexible foam.

In TDI-based casting systems, poloyols are used especially when softer materials are required. Perstorp's liquid polyols provide a longer pot life which can then be regulated by the use of catalysts. Products cured with polyols do not achieve the same hardnesses or tensile properties as those with amine-crosslinked TDI prepolymers, but they offer better resistance to compression set as well as excellent low temperature properties.
Nordmann, Rassmann is distributing these polyols in Germany, Austria, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland.
