CLEVELAND, OH & SHANGHAI, CHINA -- Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc., a subsidiary of The Lubrizol Corporation , announces that its Estane® Engineered Polymers and Conductive Polymers groups will be present at the Chinaplas 2008 tradeshow in Pudong, Shanghai, China, in Booth W2A01. Chinaplas, now in its 22nd year, is one of the largest plastics shows in the world. It attracted over 60,000 visitors last year.

Estane Engineered Polymers is known globally as a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs). "Chinaplas is the major promotional trade show in Asia each year for our Estane® TPU business," says Timothy Earl Madden, business director for Estane Engineered Polymers - Asia Pacific. "At this year's show, we are rolling out applications that highlight technologies for the future. We are paying special attention to specialty TPU polymers that have been custom formulated to local requirements for such applications as fibers, molding in sports and industrial, wire and cable, hose and tube, fabric coating, and medical. Customers are looking to us as a technology leader focused on innovations, and they rely on our high-quality materials, professional engineers and state-of-the-art applications lab to give them an advantage in the market. Our new Estane TPU facility has improved our customer service, and now we are looking forward to expansion this year to meet growing demand," says Madden.

Conductive Polymers is becoming a market leader in clean and permanent material solutions for Electro Static Discharge (ESD). At this year's Chinaplas, they will introduce a breakthrough in ESD material options for the upper stream, broad-base plastics processors in Asia. In addition to the latest sheet products for tape and reel applications, Conductive Polymers is introducing its first -generation IDP (Inherently Dissipative Polymers) master-batches in styrenics, acrylics, PP and PE grades. IDP master-batches are key additives or fillers for various end products of permanent electrically dissipative plastic sheets, films or compounds. Also present at Chinaplas will be new series of carrier tape applications ranging from PS conductive to clear sheet for injection molding applications.

"We are answering the needs of broad-base small and medium-sized sheet extruders, compounding houses, profile extruders and blown film molders who have played an important role in meeting the growing demand for ESD polymers, particularly in China," says Tesh Gor, global business director for Conductive Polymers. "Our latest innovation allows our newly targeted customers to win in the marketplace by upgrading product quality, for example from current temporarily antistatic to permanent electrical dissipative with cost flexibility. Conductive Polymers is recognized as a long-term partner in ESD technology breakthrough."

Representatives of the company's Performance Coatings Group (PCG) also will be present in the Lubrizol booth. PCG is a leading global producer of polymers and additives for a broad range of consumer and industrial coatings applications. These specialty products include resins and additives for coatings used for wood, plastic, metal, specialty architectural, paper, printing inks and textile applications. PCG's products are based on a wide range of technologies used in coatings formulations: acrylic and polyurethane polymers, wax additives and rheology control agents, and hyperdispersants. PCG also offers a wide range of additives to formulate products for the plastics industry. A leading manufacturer of polymeric hyperdispersant and synergist technology, products are used for dispersing fillers, pigments and other solids in thermoplastic master-batches and compounds, unsaturated thermosetting composites and plasticizer dispersions.
