CLEVELAND -- The Lubrizol Corporation announces it will exhibit several of its advanced metal protection resins and additives in booth #1210 at the NACE International CORROSION 2012 Conference and Expo March 11-15 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As a leading supplier across multiple sectors of the transportation, general industrial and heavy equipment industries, Lubrizol provides resins and additives that protect metal from primary processing to the fabricator. Lubrizol also provides rust-preventive and corrosion-inhibiting resins and additives for coating parts, subassembly and finished equipment.

Lubrizol's metal protection resin and additive brands to be featured at the show include:

  • Alox® Rust Preventive Additives:

A family of rust preventive additives offering advanced short- to long-term rust protection. This diverse product line includes variations that are free of barium and heavy metals, non-staining, and soluble in solvent, solvent/oil and oil diluents.

  • Aqualox™ Water-based Rust Preventive Additives:

Aqualox products form the water-friendly version of the Alox brand and are similar in versatility and capability to the Alox line.

  • Lockguard™ Rust Preventive Additives:

This line of gelled sulfonates and rust-preventive additives provides excellent metal protection, including a high-viscosity version for vertical applications to minimize dripping.

  • Permax® Acrylic Emulsion:

Permax polyvinylidene chloride emulsions deliver high corrosion resistance for OEM and maintenance applications.

  • Solsperse™ Hyperdispersants:

Hyperdispersants that provide efficient pigment dispersion by stabilizing pigments, enabling higher pigment loading levels and superior color development.

  • Carboset® Acrylic emulsions:

These emulsions provide corrosion resistance for primers, topcoats as well as direct to metal and temporary coatings. The portfolio includes products that provide high gloss, superior chemical resistance and adhesion to a variety of substrates.

"Developing effective, reliable, anti-corrosion resins and additives that are also aesthetically pleasing is a challenge, and I'm proud to say Lubrizol has made great advances for the metal industry," said Dr. Peter Bloyce, Lubrizol Global Business Manager for Performance Coatings.

Originally known as the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, NACE International has become the largest organization in the world committed to the study of corrosion and the event is considered to be the world's biggest corrosion conference. Industry leaders use the NACE conference as an opportunity to meet for symposiums, forums, networking, and other events to learn about recent advancements and anticipated demands in the anti-corrosion industry. More than 5,000 industry professionals and 350 exhibitors from around the world are expected to attend the conference.

"We are looking forward to this very important show and the opportunity for our experts to present our metal protection solutions to the industry's leading decision makers," said Derek Philips, Lubrizol Global Marketing Manager for Metal Protection Fluids.
