LANXESS increases prices for TMP worldwide

Leverkusen -- With immediate effect, LANXESS is increasing its prices for trimethylolpropane (TMP) in Europe by EUR 150 per metric ton and in the overseas markets by USD 200 per metric ton. According to Wolfgang Schäfer, Marketing Manager for Polyols and Oxidation Products in the Basic Chemicals business unit, the reasons for this measure are drastically increased raw material, energy and logistics costs.

TMP is used in the chemical industry in the manufacture of coatings, plastics, polyurethanes and pigments as well as in the production of lubricants and oils.
