Jotun's Power & Energy Concept launch in Egypt

For the Jotun Protective Coating team in Egypt there is only one message - "Energy is our focused area". In line with this they have targeted strategic customers in the Power & Energy sector, thereby creating a new market segment and shaping the future of the paint industry in Egypt.

A very special promotional seminar was held in Cairo on the 31st October 2007, where some 80 strategic customers attended and witnessed one of the largest "Concept launches" for paint protection in the Power & Energy Industry.

Ibrahim Amer, (Sales & Marketing Manager, Jotun in Egypt) opened the seminar and presented the Jotun organization in Egypt stressing the importance of the local Jotun commitment to preserve the quality of products and integrity of personnel which is prevalent throughout the worldwide Jotun organisation.

The Power and Energy market is huge but Energy Concept Director Christian Böge chose six headings to prove why Jotun should be the chosen partner and why the Jotun concept for this sector has proved so successful:

  • Strong focus on all aspects within this market, including competence of personnel and innovative development of new products and solutions.
  • Jotun Energy Paint School with both theoretical and practical training for customers. This has proved enormously successful.

They ensure that technical specifications, local legislation and standards specified by the authorities are followed and that all coating related work is carried out as specified and to our customers' satisfaction.
  • JAMP (Jotun Asset Management Programme); an effective tool to minimize the maintenance costs during the expected lifetime of the plant and prevent unplanned, costly shutdowns.
  • Jotun's Global presence with 68 companies and 40 production facilities spanning all continents as well as strong networks of agents, branch offices and distributors.

Corrosion is an important issue in this market, and many customers were also very interested in pre-treatments to ensure ultimate corrosion protection. The participants also wanted more information on the Chemflake and Jotamastic product ranges.
