Last year ended on a positive note for Jotun Powder Coatings India, having secured prestigious projects like the Indira Gandhi International Airport extension plan, the Peninsula Business Park and the Godrej IT Park in Mumbai.

The Indira Gandhi International Airport, located in Delhi, is a major gateway to India. Jotun will deliver paint for the construction of a new terminal three (T3) at the Delhi Airport, which is to be completed in time for India to host the Commonwealth Games in 2010.

Standing tall with two princely towers of 20 floors each and an exclusive 2-storey building, all comprising over 1.2 million square feet of premium workspace, the Peninsula Business Park is one of the most prestigious corporate addresses in Mumbai. Jotun India won the contract, and will supply industry leading powder coating to secure this international landmark.

The Godrej IT Park in Mumbai is one of the 22 Green Building projects planned in India for 2009. Green buildings use eco-friendly technology to reduce the consumption of natural resources, to minimize the impact of the building on the local environment. Jotun Powder Coatings India will provide coating for the 1.4 million square feet Godrej IT Park project, which uses 100% water recycling and solar energy for lighting.

"I am confident that these projects are just the tip of the iceberg. If we continue to focus on the strategy of developing the Architectural business, I am convinced we will secure similar projects in the future", says Kersi Kapadia, General Manger, Jotun Powder Coatings India.
