Jason Q. Yin Becomes General Manager of EDI China, New Subsdiary of Extrusion Dies Industries (EDI)

GUANGZHOU, -- Extrusion Dies Industries, LLC (EDI) has appointed Jason Q. Yin to be general manager of EDI Precision Dies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (EDI China), the company's new wholly-owned subsidiary in China, it was announced by EDI president and CEO Timothy C. Callahan. Mr. Callahan and Mr. Yin are present at EDI's Chinaplas exhibit (Stand 1D-605) to formally introduce the new company.

Mr. Yin is in charge of financial and operational management of EDI China and supervises an initial staff of ten technical service and manufacturing specialists. Before assuming these responsibilities, he worked for EDI for two years, serving as a consultant and as coordinator of the project to establish EDI China. Born and raised in China, he has worked for 17 years as an engineer in both China and North America.

"In leading EDI China, Jason will draw on his knowledge of the market in China, extensive hands-on experience with EDI products, and deep understanding of our customer-focused way of doing business," said Mr. Callahan. "The team he assembled in China is made up of outstanding people who have since spent considerable time with us at our headquarters in Chippewa Falls. Under Jason's leadership, EDI China is fully capable of providing customers with responsive, expert service for startups, troubleshooting, and rework."

From 1990 to 1999, Jason Yin held technical service, training, design, and production positions with three manufacturing firms in China. He went on to work for two companies in the computer industry in the U.S. and Canada, respectively, before working as a research and teaching assistant in the Mechanical Engineering Department of McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. He holds a bachelors degree from East China Jiaotong University and a masters degree in engineering from McMaster University.

EXTRUSION DIES INDUSTRIES, LLC is a leading international supplier of flat dies for sheet, film, extrusion coating, slot die coating, and pelletizing. The company designs and manufactures dies, feedblocks, deckling systems, vacuum boxes, and related equipment.
