ST. LOUIS -- Jackson Products, Inc. a privately held manufacturer and distributor of personal and highway safety products, announced that it has sold the assets of its traffic coatings division, TMT-Pathway to Ennis Paint, Inc., the world-wide leader in traffic coatings based in Ennis, Texas. TMT-Pathway had annual sales of approximately $30 million to customers in the western United States.

"The decision to sell TMT-Pathway was all about focus. This sale will allow us to better concentrate on our higher-growth personal safety, work zone safety and reflective glass bead businesses where we have a leading market position and national footprint," stated David Gilchrist, Jackson Products' President and Chief Executive Officer. "This move will enable us to increase our strategic investments in our businesses where we have greater opportunities for leveraging our assets."

Mr. Gilchrist continued, "We are pleased that the mission of Ennis Paint is consistent with the customer-focused model that we built at TMT-Pathway. We believe this transaction is a win for both Jackson and TMT's customers as they will be well served by Ennis."

Jackson will use the proceeds from the sale to pay down debt. In June, Jackson acquired Memphis, TN based Outdoor Optics, Inc., a distributor of safety eyewear and hearing protection under the Smith & Wesson® Safety brand with annual revenues of $12 million.
